The job of guttering is to protect your home from rainfall and water damage. It allows the water to flow away from your walls, windows, and doors. And prevents it from causing any lasting damage if it were to seep into the house.
When a gutter is blocked with leaves, twigs, debris, and dust, the rainwater can’t take its usual route along the guttering and through the downpipe.
So, over time, it builds up around the blockage. Excess water starts running down the walls.
Eventually, this accumulation of water will soak through the walls. Causing damp, and potentially serious health problems for those inside.
If it’s not resolved, it will eventually cause structural damage to the property.
And, if you don’t have your gutters regularly cleared and cleaned, the costs of any damage caused may not be covered by your insurance policy.

How do I know if my gutters are blocked?

  • Rainwater overflows from your guttering.
  • Visible damage to the gutters.
  • The ground below the gutters is discoloured – often with a green or black slimy substance.
  • Weeds are growing in, or underneath, the gutters.
  • You will notice mould and damp on the walls inside your house.
  • Pests or birds are gathering on your roof and in the gutter.

Following some wall tie remedial work, the front facade of my house had been left with some dried bits of mortar and hazy patches that were either mortar smears efflorescence. It frankly looked a bit of a mess and I was sceptical anything could really be done about it.

That was, until, I hired the gentleman from Superior Exterior Clean. I am over the moon with the result of his work and the wall looks tidy now, and like it's normal self again. I honestly could not recommend highly enough. First-class job.

Cannot rate these guys high enough. They have workable cleaning schedules with added options for solar panels etc. They show up on time, are very respectful of your property (close gates etc) and payments are via Direct Debit but they always leave a card too. Keep up the good work!

I don't normally leave reviews, as I have OCD, so my expectations are stupidly high, but these guys did an exceptional job. I had my whole roof replaced in January 2024 and the roofers left all their rubbish on my resin, with all the rain etc it was a filthy mess to say the least, and if I'm honest, I didn't think Supreme exterior clean would make it as clean as it was before, but they did. I don't know what they used, but they definitely done an outstanding job, even by my standards, so much so, I'll be using them again next year.
